The kids are out of school, the days are longer, and temperatures are rising, which can only mean one thing...

It's summer time!

But before you grab your sunscreen, it's important for your transformation goals that you take steps to ensure you are properly hydrated.

After all, up to 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, which can negatively affect everything from your mood, your energy and, worst of all, your weight loss and transformation goals!

You should aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day.

This can be quite a bit, especially in the beginning, so here are a few of Trainer Lindsey's favorite Summer Hydration Hacks to help you increase your water intake:

1. Start Slowly

Remember, transformation is a journey, not a race!

Start by slowly increasing your water each and every day to work up to half of your body weight in ounces.

As long as you're increasing your water intake, you're on the right path!

2. Invest in a Reuseable Water Bottle

No matter where you are, it's important to have a water bottle within reach to make it even easier to stay hydrated.

For example, a stainless steel water bottle can help keep your ice from melting and make it so your water stays cold throuought the day!

3. Flavor Your Water

It's okay to admit that, sometims, drinking water is just boring.

4. The 10-Gulp Rule

This can help you consume mnore water each and every time you reach for that cup (or reusable water bottle!)

The 10-Gulp Rule means every time you go to take a drink, try to get in 10 gulps.

Using this rule, each small sip can turn into a huge boost for your hydration!
